Tucked away under the railway arches behind Clapham North tube is south London's best-kept secret, Arch. Independently owned by four friendly locals, 'the Arches' is a welcome relief from the uniformity of Clapham's chain bars.

Need to wind down after work? Head to the arches for a relaxing drink and a game of table footie. The friendly staff and regulars will always make you feel at home, and after a couple of visits, you'll feel like a regular too.

At the weekends Arch moves uptempo: live guest DJs play Funked up/ house/electro for a mixed crowd of party lovers plus our DJs play a wide variety of music to suit all tastes from 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights.
Check out our regular Saturday night DELUXE. Also check our upcoming events which include 'Utopia' events, open mic nights, live sets on a Thursday, karaoke on Wedsnesday, live bands and comedy nights on the Whats On page.

Having a birthday, leaving do or anniversary?
Celebrate with us at Arch and you're guaranteed a good time.|

Still going strong although better in winter than summer in my experience. Plays good funky house too

I would still recommend but I think that newer places like Peacock Bar (www.the-peacock-bar.co.uk) in Clapham Junction not to mention Lost Angel in Battersea and of course Lost Society have taken the cream of the crop when it comes to being the No 1 choice for yummie party going Claphamites.

More individual, better range of beers better styling & service and most importantly better entertainment and atmosphere

Also with 2.30am licences

Respect though for job well done

Great place for the winter nights out, bar staff can have the no-personality syndrome but they play good tunes!

Found this bar by accident and was so surprised! Such a great venue feels like a bit of East london in South. Has no pretense about it just seems like a cool place to hang out and drink nice beers. The other thing was that I found that it had a dance floor which was great as other places I have been in Clapham you are just dancing up against a wall! Well worth the visit.
